
The business I have chosen to focus on for this particular project is the ‘Kitty Café’ in Leeds town centre.
I chose this niche business as a way of promoting them further due to my personal opinion of them being an extremely underrated Café and team of workers. Recently there has been a show released onto Netflix called, ‘Don’t Fuck with Cats’ which is all about a serial killer who begins his murder by going on a killing spree attacking cute little kittens and puppy’s- the entire world was horrified. I feel this Café shows their appreciation for un-adopted cats/kittens and animals in general, and after seeing the show myself, I feel urged to promote them in some way. I feel that my love for animals has grown rapidly from being very young as ive always managed to grow strong solid bonds with animals, especially cats and dogs. This Café is a perfect place for cat lovers and is known for being a small business and the only one local to me. All of the cats present in the Café are adorably friendly, loving and affectionate- even more reason for people to visit, (unless you’re allergic obviously). The entire Café set out is modernised, cool and quirky with them using the kitten’s apparatus’ as modern furniture, making it perfectly photogenic and comforting for the cats. The target audience for this would simply be cat lovers. People who emotionally enjoy the aesthetic cats bring and the love they share during your visit. For this, I am determined to create stickers, PVC banners and some form of promotion cards in honour of the Kitty Café who are still to this day thriving, since December 2017. My aim in this assignment is to receive further recognition to this Café and to show how loveable cats and animals truly are, they deserve to live their lives just as we humans do. Abuse and murder upon any animal is never okay and this is the message I am wanting to project. I will ensure my creative promotional concepts will reflect on cats and the Kitty Café; this way people will know what they’re picking up on without reading too deeply into it.
